Hi all, anyone heard of a knife maker called Brian Sampson? To the best of my knowledge he was based in Sheffield, England. Famous or obscure? Anyone know???? I know he was working about 20 years ago, may well be dead now...Grateful for any available info

Brian Sampson was my uncle
He was one of Sheffield’s well respected little mesters.
He had a one man knife grinding business in Bailey lane off west street Sheffield up to the eighties.
I worked for him for six months after leaving school.
The hard work ethic he fought me set me up for life. The custom knives he made were from flat steel not blanks and he had a fantastic reputation for craftsmanship. He was a very skilled proud man of the very best order. Regards Andrew Houghton.

Cheers Andy, I bought a survival knife made by Brian for the SAS around the early 80s still going strong to this day! Nice to reminisce...also got a folder similar to the Buck 110 also still going strong! Quality through and through.
