I look at this one, and I think of Skogkniv and all his awesome videos and the love he seems to have for jersey patterns. Though dont expect this one to see action.

All original bluing and yellow paint. It is so good, that when I first got it, I had to call the lady I got it from and I asked her if it was a fake. It has ribs in the eye - so it makes me wonder where it falls with age - those Mann guys all joined the AATCo, then bailed - but when they did the patents stayed with AATCo, then technically they went to Kelly when Kelly bought out AATCo. So - it can get confusining. I think it is from around 1900-1904 seeing it does say Lewistown Pa on it, when JH Mann was still there. But hard to say. Ill find out.

WOW! That is a beauty! Embossing is flawless!

I wouldn't use it either. I look forward to the handling!

Aye aye aye...

When that one auctioned I thought..."damn, I hope operator got that so I can see more of it..."

Glad you scored it, buddy.

Wonder if there is an Axe Appraiser anywhere.

maybe an antique appraiser like you would find at antique auctions or 'the antique roadshow' type appraisers?

Very Nice Operator. It has found a good home. And like others around here have said before, YOU WIN!
