Well, I had a bit of a billet left after a customer order, so I spent a few minutes playing around, here's the result:

The little bottle opener is made from 184 layer random pattern damascus with coin silver and Ebony.

The design is as far as I know original to me, as I've never seen anyone else who makes these.

[edited to add: I've been making these in mild steel for a few years]

I don't drink much, but I think I might have to have a beer in the pit with everybody, so I figured I aught to have a decent bottle opener just in case :)

Cool, don't think I've ever seen a damascus bottle opener, but could you show it on a bottle? Having a hard time picturing how it works, must be sleep depravation.

Looks like a person with their arms out like in a hugging position. Really cool! If I had to guess the "hands" fit under the cap while the "head" holds the cap. Very cool! I suspect someone will want to take it off your hands. Is the pit the best time for sales (when everyone is drunk)? :D

Yup, that's how it works.

Only problem will be if they remove the caps before serving :( hadn't thought of that.
