This one's going to blade

Well, I had a bit of a billet left after a customer order, so I spent a few minutes playing around, here's the result:

The little bottle opener is made from 184 layer random pattern damascus with coin silver and Ebony.

The design is as far as I know original to me, as I've never seen anyone else who makes these.

[edited to add: I've been making these in mild steel for a few years]

I don't drink much, but I think I might have to have a beer in the pit with everybody, so I figured I aught to have a decent bottle opener just in case

Cool, don't think I've ever seen a damascus bottle opener, but could you show it on a bottle? Having a hard time picturing how it works, must be sleep depravation.

Looks like a person with their arms out like in a hugging position. Really cool! If I had to guess the "hands" fit under the cap while the "head" holds the cap. Very cool! I suspect someone will want to take it off your hands. Is the pit the best time for sales (when everyone is drunk)?

Yup, that's how it works.

Only problem will be if they remove the caps before serving hadn't thought of that.
