This one's NOT going to Blade!

Wow! I just received this "Frequent Buyer" gift from my friend, knifemaker Bud Weston.



It is a Gentleman's Folder with investment grade white MOP handles. Bud knew that I had started a pearl handle sub-collection last fall and this gift was his contribution to my collection. Blade is Damasteel with nail nick, liners are titanium anodized a deep blue. Spacer and bail are Damasteel. Entire length of blade is fileworked, as are the liners, and the top of the spacer as well as the bottom of the spacer (inside, between the handles).

Bolsters are polished and engraved by Vlada Klihavcova.

Sorry about the sloppy photo; I just did a quick scan 'cause my cameras are already packed up to go to Blade.

I really like mother of pearl a lot. That's a gorgeous pocket knife. Wow!

Man Bud's work always makes me drool. Last spring at the CKG show I just couldn't get over how beautiful his folders were and how good his prices were! I would love to own any one of Bud's folders.

Thanks, Sean - I will! I've been a collector for just over 4 years and this will be my first time at Blade. Can hardly wait to pick up in person a few of my completed orders directly from the makers!

(after Blade I'm going to Detroit for a few days before heading back to Toronto, so I'll post better photos of the above knife in a couple of weeks. It really IS gorgeous.)
