Looking for some opinions on this. i have 25 bucks and want to buy a new axe head to expand my collection, but don't know which one is more valuable collector wise.

The Warren is a pretty axe, but it has had a lot of mushrooming removed. That in itself is not always bad, but the eye might be bulged out which isn't so good.
The double bit is in better shape. I have an Artisan axe with that rectangular kind of logo, but in this case I'm inclined to say it's a Plumb.
My 2 cents, Jim

well i ended up buying the double bit, looking forward to Thursday now ;D. i would have loved the warren but as you said the eye was buldged out and i dont want to have to hang it and then find out i did it wrong and have to buy a new handle again. just like my current axe. i am pretty new to axes in general, i hungm y first axe not even a week ago.

Looks like a pretty decent piece. Just going by the proportions of that box I would say it's a Plumb. I would have gone for the double bit as well, that Warren had bulging eye syndrome.

"bulging eye syndrome" i knew a girl like that once:D;)

i am a fan of the bulging eye syndrome , the proportions of the box is another thing altogether.LOL

all good

apparently mister ken c did not read the post, rather just see the links. if he had actually read the post he would realize that i was asking for assistance in choosing which axe to buy, and if i wait for the listings to end than that makes it kind of hard to get opinions on which one i should buy, doesnt it?

all the best, Unfortunatesmith.

you cannot post live links on the forum, it is the rules. I was wondering how they lasted as long as they did. If you need assistance with an item, or particular items, then feel free to inquire about them to the board, but dont list auctions themselves.
