I was rearranging my safe and decided to take a family shot of my knives. This is missing my fixed blades and a few beater folders. (couple of spyderco's, SOGs, and Kershaws)

ignoring legality of the auto's, which would you EDC, and why?

(also excuse the grainy phone pic)

Oh man dude thats a really hard choice jeeze. I would take either the microtech ultratech or the benchmade infidel. I would choose them because of the cool factor. I dont use my knives a whole ton so any of them would meet my needs perfectly fine. So i would be basing it off looks pretty much lol. If you dont mind me asking what state do you live in?

The 943, because its the only one out of those I have. Im seriously considering a 561, maybe a 550/1. Which do you like better? (550/1 or the 561?) Also, how much harder is it to carry the 561 vs the 943?

Thanks!

Hinderer will get everything you need done and will hold an edge with the best of em and its the best for holding when its wet. Because of the texturing

I like the 561 the best of the 2 ZTs. The deep carry clip is very nice on it, but it is definitely huge compared to the 943". It isn't really heavy or anything, but it does take up some serious pocket real estate. The KVT bearing system is awesome as well. It flies right open with the flipper or the thumb studs.

Here is a video showing how it opens that I made when it was first released. Flies open like an auto or assisted opener

My choice is the Zaan. It has the class of the Hinderer; the strength of the Strider, and a blade-shape all its own.

I can only hope to have your dilemma... selecting an EDC from that lot...

Probably the small Sebenza 21. Never actually seen or handled one, but size and weight-wise, it is more aligned with my EDC preferences (~3" blade, slim/compact, and relatively lightweight).

I would go with the Chris Reeve Large Micarta Insigno Sebenza or the Strider, simply because I would find their blade shapes the most useful for most of my applications.

either the chris reeve(s) or the strider, or the zt 561. why? because they look to be the priciest and, though forumers don't want to admit it, a pricey EDC beats out supposed performance anytime. :D
