I've decided that I need a Busse. Don't know why, I thought 4 Rats was enough :foot: . If there are any of my knives I beat on, they are my Rats, especially my Battle Rat. She's the only chopper I need right now, but I have developed a serious appreciation for all fixed blade camp knives, 4" to 6" blades. I've got a Bog Dog, Howling Rat, Western W36 and Benchmade Ritter fixed Grip in the 4" range, and a couple customs and productions in the 5" to 6" range. I was going to get a RD4 or RAT5, but decided I want a Busse instead. So, in the 4" range, which model do I get, and in the 5" to 6" range, what do I get? I'm looking for something cheaper than your average INFI (I realize that Rats are cheaper than Pork), something with INFI (not really looking for old stuff). Might be an EDC beater, can be used, this won't be a wall hanger or safe queen. Thanks.
 
The GWs that the company store sell are a great value when instock, the resale prices on the exchange aren't bad either. In the 6 in range if you don't mind going a little bigger depending on how you measure the blade, I would say anything in the SOW line.
 
Okay, be forewarned, I don't follow the acronyms. Can ya break em down for me? I see that GW is Game Warden now, FBM must be Fusion Battle Mistress, SOW? Thanks
 
Since you said you were looking for something on the low end price of INFI that rules out most all but newer runs.

4inch-The Miliganza Meaner should be a good option as they are just showing up on the exchange at good price's...maybe not the best for camping but all other 4inch Busse's that I can think of will cost more...BAIII for example would be perfect, but would cost more, since its not a newer run

5 to 6 inch- BATAC(Badger) is also a recent run that is showing up on exchange at good prices. The BCS should be getting some BATAC's at great prices if you can wait

edit- like wash said...the SH1a would also be great for the 5 to 6 incher your looking for, but you would have to wait a few months,or more to get in hand
 
The Company Store will have Badger Attack Tacticals (BATACs) within the next few months. That's a nice 5" blade.

Probably about the same time, the Shop will be offering the Steel Heart 1 Anniversary blade (SH1A). That'll be a nice 6 3/8" blade.

In the mean time, take a look at the Sus Scrofa (wharncliff blade) at the Shop, and look out for the Assault Shakers coming soon from the Shop.
 
Cheap INFI:

Skeleton Warden: ~ $190- 200 on re-sale. Same blade as a Game Warden (3"), no scales.

Game Warden. The recent coated ones at the BCS were $197. see pic here http://bussecompanystore.com/knives.htm Haunt that web site, and you may get lucky on an offering. Resales are running $250 - 300, but you can get satin blades.

Street Scrapper (SS) 4. was offered by Scrap Yard. 4" blade, profile much like the Miliganza Leaner Meaner Street that is now shipping from orders in March. Re-sale ~ $175 - 200.

Miliganza Leaner Meaner Street. People are just getting these, re-sale $300, may fall a little if a number of them hit the market.

Badger Attack TAC (BATAC) 5" blade. $280 - 300 re-sale.
