This really is an under appreciated knife.

I have a Buck Vantage Pro, and I know it's not a top reviewed knife, but mine just continues to perform and impress.

After weeks of day to day use, I took it to the Sharpmaker, and it sharpened up in just a few minutes, and I'm good to go for several more weeks. It sharpens easy, and it stays sharp.

Add the fact that it rides easy in the pocket and locks up just fine, thank you very much.

I keep looking for a more upscale knife, but I keep wondering why. Sometimes, the good ones are right under our noses.

Been carrying mine off and on for 2 years and everytime i put it back in rotation,i wonder why i picked up something else.

I have a Vantage and just so happened to carry it today. I have many knives like a lot of us do, but I was reminded of what a great knife this is. A couple of years back I took a solo 22 day road trip with my Vantage clipped in my pocket. Used it for everything and barely had to touch it up when I got home. It was a great tool and an excellent companion. Think I'll carry it for a few more days before I slip it back out of rotation.

Can't say for sure. Just here to post a pic; so that people know what knife your talking about.

My Vantage Pro still spends time in my edc rotation. I really like the blade grind and the overall feel of the knife. Apparently there is some variability in assembly quality. But a good one is a real value.

I like them. I have several versions of the Vantage, but my favorite by far is actually the lower end Avid model with the Dymondwood scales.
