I just received the latest Lee Valley flyer and found this in it.

This seems like an infringement on your Spyderhole, does your registration include sharpeners?
 
^It was before I was a knife afi so don't know the whole story, but I believe BM and Spyderco went into some sort of legal proceeding and settled on the issue, so the fact BM uses them isn't really relevant. The "spyder hole" is a Spyderco trademark. It's a good question whether that applies to non-knife objects like that sharpener.
