This Sheath...

If you shorten it it can just fit snug over the talon hole or you can wrap it. Very versatile. I have set a few of them up to do both. I like the wrap, feels more secure.

If you shorten it, it works like any other retaining strap that just goes over the talon hole. It is as easy to remove the knife as any other set up like it, probably better since the method of retention falls away from the edge, thus reducing the risk of cutting it up.

When you do the wrap, it is a little slower since you have to unwind the cord from around the handle. I liken it to differing levels of retention on holsters. The more security you build into a holster, the more you sacrifice speed. It, like all else in life is a compromise. The bonus is that it falls free from the edge, just like the strap over set up, still keeping it from being cut up. If you did manage to cut it, you just need a length of para cord to replace it.

I don't have the time to snap any pics of both set ups though. Maybe someone can help out with that or let your imagination lead you.
