I live in knife solitude out here, so my "talking" about knifes is in the form of internet only. So how the heck do ya'll pronounce "Busse"? I thought I knew, but now I'm confused. Some guy in the bushcraft post said he liked the name "newk" because it sort of rhymed, which would lead me to believe ya'll pronounce it "be'us" with a long "u" like in "loose". But there's a highway by name called "Busse Hwy" that is pronounced "Bus-ee" where the bus is just like the thing your kids ride to school on.

So save me from sounding like a moron if I ever come face to face with another knife collector :)

HA! So it is just like the highway by me.

How the hell does newk rhyme with fussy??? Oh well

Say it with me now BUS.....EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I have to admit that until a sweet young lady answered "Bus-e Combat", I was mispronouncing the name.

Thanks for posting....now I feel like a real jackass. I've been bragging about Busse's for years to the guys at work, only to just realize that I've been mispronouncing it all along. So much for "Mr. Knife expert." :o :D

Hey, I've driven over that on 294 before....

It is funny that people will come up to the table at shows and say "How good are these
(chose one)
Bushy
Booose
Byuuse
Boosay

knives?"

Then I will say "these Buss-ee knives are ....."

And the person will almost always (95%) say "ahh, I've always thought these
(chose one)
Bushy
Booose
Byuuse
Boosay

knives were tough"

Always have to laugh.....

I will have to do that if I ever see you at a show. . . "So, I have heard goot things about them there Bee-You-Say knives"

Anyone in the know can make a quick save by refering to Amy-0's dog, Boosay, but I guess that would require enough knowledge to have not made the mistake in the first place.

Or you could really show how close but oh so far away you are from knowing about the company by refering to Amy-O, although I think she will answer to that one.
