In This thread I told about my Body Mass Index and my losses and gains over the last while so I'm not going to repeat it here.;)
We've been going to Pulmonary Rehab Therapy for five weeks now and many of the gains, and losses, I've had has happened in those last five weeks. While I'm in physical rehab Barbie goes down a floor and works out on her own for two hard hours!
Then she comes upstairs and sets in on the Pulmonary Classes I have to take and we have both learned one helluva lot about our lungs and human breathing apparatus, there is more to it than anyone realizes!!!! Needless to say the physical therapists have been working our hienie's off!!!! And from now on I'll have a very different outlook on the people that have to carry an oxygen bottle around with them!
Yeah, most of them have brought it on themselves and they will sure enough tell you so if you're truly interested.
I'm one of the really, really, lucky folks that could solve my pulmonary problem's with getting off my ass and losing a lot of weight and "I" *Do* feel very fortunate that my problem wasn't one of the COPD's related to a lung disease or decreased function!!!!

Last week we were warned about a very, very, severe winter ICE STORM moving in on us and for once the Weatherguys got it right, but they've been a lot more accurate in recent years anyway.
We have less ice on the streets today than yesterday when we were out. Yesterday the streets had as much as 8" of ice in spots with 6" common. Barbie chipped the 9" of ice away from the bottom of our back gate so we could go out the backdoor.
We stocked up a bit yesterday and then after the news last night about the citrus crops we went today and got oranges for $0.49 a pound and got six pounds. Our countertop looks like a banana farm's shipping dept. but we have plenty of no and low salt produce and deer burger stufffed peppers, ground turkey, and several other packages of meat to last us through our next semi-hibernation.
Our favorite TV Weatherman says we are in from 4" to 8" of snow on top of the damned layered ice we already have!!!! :thumbdn: :(
Here's our present situation around Oklahoma and our outlook for the weekend!!!! :grumpy: :(

TULSA, Okla. (AP)(c) -- The number of customers without electric power dropped by about 18,000 Wednesday, but 74,000 thousand others still were waiting for the lights to come on again as Oklahoma braced for another major winter storm.
Governor Brad Henry visited three towns hit hard by last weekend's storm. During a stop in McAlester, he said it looked like bombs had exploded throughout the town of 18-thousand.
More than 10,800 customers in McAlester remained without power Wednesday, although that number had dropped from 14,000 a day earlier.
Henry also made unscheduled visits to emergency workers in Muskogee and Eufaula. Muskogee still has almost 9,300 customers without power.
The ice storm has been blamed for at least 23 deaths statewide, most from motor vehicle accidents.
Forecasters say another storm will bring up to eight inches snow and other winter precipitation to the state, starting by late Friday and continuing through early Sunday. :( :grumpy:

Looks like I don't have to say it, but I will anyway.
Take care of yourself, Elder Brother.

Glad to hear from Yvsa and barb, be safe

Glad to hear from you again. Just last week I was wondering how ol' Yvsa was doing. I have been looking for posts from you for some time. Happy to hear that all's well. Sounds like you're getting a lot of weather -- stay safe.

James

Sounds like you can still eat good in the neighborhood even on a strict diet. Be safe Bro.

Atlanta would completely shut down in that much ice. My wreck happened when a guy lost control on 1/32" of ice. Southerners have no idea how to drive on ice.

You might could have stopped with - "Southerners have no idea how to drive...."

Heck, if it rains here in FW, everybody becomes an idiot for the day.

Hey Roy, "most" Southerners don't know how to drive in ice... some of us did grow up in the mountains.. :-)

In Tennessee, I had some family that were so far back in the woods that everyone just called it "over the mountain", they would drive through the Tennessee mountains everyday to get to a factory and work. It would usually take about a hour. The people from that area had a reputation for never missing a day's work, regardless of the weather, and never being late.
It put the locals to shame.

Good to hear you guys are okay. I've been doing the diet thing too lately due to high blood pressure. It sure does make a difference in how you feel...

But I don't have deer burger stuffed peppers . That sounds so good. After the fry bread thread and this one, I've got to go cook lunch :D

My girlfriend's folks are from Thailand, and they cook the best Thai food I've ever had. And I've been to Thailand! That said, it hasn't done many favors for my waistline. Oh well, I'm young. :)
