As I could only find a limited amount of natural cordage I thought I'd be smart and make a bird trap that used less cordage than the Arapuca Bird-Trap.......I soon found out that the Arapuca was a popular trap for a reason !

This was my poor effort, I did trigger it and it appeared to work pretty well. I'm not sure if a bird would figure out how to crawl out or whether they would remain in the trap and just keep attempting to take off ?

The moss was just to add some needed weight as I ran out of cordage and so couldn't tie anything on !

Looks like you had some fun, and took in some great views. I love moss. Been a while since I thought about the arapuca, thanks for the reminder :).

pit your a trap making machine sir. I always enjoy your posts

Thanks buddy, that cage took quite a bit of work but I should have spent another hour to make it better.....makes me appreciate just what goes into some that are posted !

Great trap! I really need to stop makign excuses and start following some of your fine examples.

Those skies looked amazing, out over the water. A real, fresh air photo that one, can almost smell it.
Looks like it got grey real quick though.

Ta Pit ;)

If you catch a Chocolate Lab in that trap, it's probably mine. She loves bread.
