This was weird, 10 pm county spraying?

I just got back inside, it's 10 pm here. I was on the computer and heard a truck drive up and what sounded like a pissed off bumble bee(two cycle engine)

By the time I grabbed my pants and 45 they had driven off. Now I live way out in the country and my house is 300 yards off the pavement, that's 300 yards of my property, not the counties. Never had that happen, guess I'll start locking the gate at night.

The thought had occurred to me, but how would I prove it? There was a cloud over and around my house, and it did smell like mosquito crap they spray. If it was any day other than friday I'd call the county commissioner and inquire about it, but I have to leave early Monday morning and will be gone 5 weeks.
 
Well I managed to get ahold of the country supervisor and raised a little hell about. Said they won't do it again. I'm leaving the gate locked now so they can't. I am looking into an automatic security gate now to keep anything like that from happening again.
 
Wouldn't surprise me if the driver didn't realize it wasn't a side street until after he made the turn. Evening, dark, maybe new to the route...
