Had a pretty good week actually! Got that Hutlafors GK, an SAK Hiker (first SAK ive had in probably 25 yrs), just got a BK7 ( ) w/ the lil BK13, and now...bout to get another BK2 ( i think)... havent had this epic of a week in...well...never

What ya'll get?

I'd tell you the 4.5 month long story of my knife order from CampSmarter, and how CampSmarter and UPS collaborated to waste my time and screw me out of my 200 dollar knife order, but I've kept a running up to date play by play in the Anything Goes thread in the RAT forums and I'm sick of typing it twice. Plus it only makes me more mad and I'm about 2mm away from going RAMBO on the UPS office.

OOH... ESEE arrowheads right?? Gotta give us the details wehn you get that stuff...

Would love a HEST too...think that is a mighty cool lil knife

How did they turn out? :D
Not so hot. I used a different stove/pan then I'm used to so the chicken was a little over cooked. As for the Eco, it did good on the peppers but when I got to the onion, I gave up on it. The edge is just too thick. I need to have it thinned. Switching from that to a Ken Onion Shun was like night and day.

Finalized trades for a Koster bushcraft in 3V, Dozier Buffalo River, Spyderco bushcraft 2ND. Working on an Ontario RTAK, and a Maxpedition H1. Next Friday-Saturday look to be good days ;).

Next week, hoping to see Scott Gossman at his shop, will get to hopefully check out his Polaris model, Kevin Estela's design.

I bought a Turley custom and used it to win another in a bushcraft skills competition. Pretty good week.

Here are a few photos of the Wilderness Survival Combo that Christof Harper (Koyote Knives) made for me.

Got a Grohmann bird and trout that was made in 1962 at an antique store last month, stainless with a big S in a circle on the blade (which looks pretty neat) but sheathless and dull as a butter knife. Got it sharpened by an older gentleman yesterday who was an official Grohmann sharpener who knew the whole history of the model, I wish I had stuck around to chat with him longer. Picked up a sheath for it as well. They send him out once a year all over to sharpen blades for people at some of the local Grohmann dealers, got to fondle a few nice blades as well.

Got another RTAK II, was only 30 bucks via surplus (this surplus store has an outlet store where things are dirt cheap when they run out of space or it isn't selling). I'm gonna make it a project, My summer is full of such projects.
