I had shared this on the General Discussion boards, but felt I needed to also share this project I did this weekend here, (since this is a VERY traditional item).
This is one of Atlanta Cutlery' antique "Longleaf" Kukri knife blades, (sold and purchased as a Longleaf blade only, sans the handle).
It's one of the specimens from their joint venture with IMA in purchasing the contents of the Royal Nepalese Armory of Kathmandu, Nepal.
Anyhow, she was received in the typical form from AC, which means that it was in a plastic bag and covered with all the old grease still on it.
After degreasing her, the project idea began. She adds a nice touch to my self titled "Man Gadget Collection".
Anyhow, to make a long story short about this project, I will share the start and finish pictures.
