So here we are, not three weeks into 2019, and I'm having fun finding knives. Excluding the custom I just got back from engraving, this has been an interesting couple weeks for old, traditional, patterns. First there was the celluloid horror (see the other thread), and then there was this small pile that wandered home to get coon fingered. (Seen here after a little oiling.)

This LF&C sports nice horn scales and other than the broken pen, doesn't appear to have been used much. I'll bet it was pretty when new.

This little fob knife was made by Kent, a brand I don't see very often. It was obviously a memento or souvenir, as evidenced by the "Hawaii" and initials crudely scratched into the plates where an engraver should have cut them.

This Camillus Barlow looks unused. But I'm wondering if it once had a bail, due to the two "extra" holes in the sawcut brown bone scales.

Smallest in the collection is this minute single blade, which surprised me with the trademark of A. Henckles.

to be continued...

This German Lunawerks swell center is obviously a well made fancy piece. But again I got a nice suprise when cleaning revealed the LF&C marking on the reverse pen blade.

This Remington Easy Open was picked up earlier, but it was handy when I got into cleaning mode, and it's nice enough to make me question repairing the broken scale, or just leaving it alone due to the roughly handled blades.

On the other hand, this Remington Whittler punches all the buttons. Still retaining most of the blades, tight, nicely built, and in good shape, it's a real find. I don't know another company that built their clip points like this, and I wonder where they came up with the design?

And then there's this, a Cattaraugus Farmers Jack. This one was obviously used; the main blade being badly reshaped by poor sharpening technique, and a small chip of the pile side scale missing, but it's a fairly scarce knife for all of that. The unusually pale bone seems to fit this knife well.

There were a couple others in this pile, and when I get a little more time I'll clean them up and show you all.
