This week's travel kit

I can't argue with that combo, Bob. You're a man after my own heart.

It would appear our friend Bob has himself a 442-2. The one I posted is a 442-1. The 2 has a locking slot above the thumb latch and the 1 has no lock. I believe there are some other minor differences. Both are same size, weight, and caliber.

I like it. Mine doesn't change. I'll try to get a pic...

You coming down south?? Hopefully! What's the Hoppe's for?
Next month maybe last week. It's something I picked up for wiping down my blades and wood handles. It's a light waxed cloth.

Jonny, you guys coming to blade? All three boys and the wife will be there this year. Love for you to meet.

Cotton pads like TUCKS soaked in Vaseline or beeswax makes great firestarter, kind of like cotton balls in vaseline except with a better surface area for sparks. Dry it can ok too, also bandaid, cleaning pads or, I suppose, other purposes. The jute is also great for that. Waxed even better (similar to the fat rope at the Outpost).

Nice kit. We travel with a S&W Airweight similar to yours. Most of our travel these days is hotel to hotel and I'm concerned about over-penetration in a hotel with my G33. If it's ever used for real, the Smith with Hornady TAP hollow points will hopefully be less inclined to "collateral damage" either to people or property.

My Hiking Buddy is becoming one of my preferred road carries, what with the arthritis that's stiffening my joints and the silly restrictions against autos that still prevail in some places. Rick Lowe made me a sweet crossdraw sheath for LH carry and RH use. Sits at about 45 deg and hides very nicely under a t-shirt.

I even recognize the fire kit. Mine came from KSF. I've tried most of the stuff in the kit and it works. I removed the hacksaw blade and added in some vaseline and cotton balls. I use NATO matches instead of a firesteel and the cotton & vaseline catch very quickly and easily.

Barring any unforeseen schedule changes, we'll be there! I'll call you...

One could make the argument that if you are more accurate with the G33, the risk to others is limited. There are more injuries on record from stray shots than from over-penetration.

For sure my friend! MTM and I will be bumming around, possibly holding Bmurray Bmurray 's hand, making sure he doesn't buy everything up at the show! Looking forward to seeing you! Will your boy be with you? I know MTM started something for him, but not sure if she is finished crocheting it yet!

You may need some Chinese finger cuffs for Bob. I'm helping Liam Hoffman out with his table this year, so swing by table 18E with MTM on Friday and we can catch up. I'm hoping to be able to bring Madden on Saturday. I know he would love to meet you guys.

We will swing by for sure. We'll come on Saturday so we can all meet up! I won't forget the finger cuffs for Bob either! lol
