I am new to this forum and very pleased to be here. I'm in the UK and have been given by my father a locking folding knife. The blade is stamped TURNER X ? S SUFFOLK WORKS SHEFFIELD, a wavy line, three diamonds and maybe a C. When open it is 240mm long and appears to have an ivory handle. The bolster ? is silver coloured and is a horses head with a cannon, kneeling soldier with what looks like a musket and an anchor. It is in very good condition and appears to be very old. Others have suggested that it was made by Thomas Turner & Co of Sheffield. Apparently they made commemorative pieces associated with important events particularly to trade in the American market. Could this knife have commemorated Paul Revere and his ride to Concord in 1775, the Boston tea party etc hence the horses head, cannon, muskets and anchor.
I'm a bit thick when it comes to computers and would attached a photo if I could figure out how.
Any information would be gratefully received.

Welcome to BladeForums P Paslode152

Sounds like an interesting knife you have, pictures would surely help.

Below I’ll give you a direct link for you to follow so you don’t need to try and find it.

Follow the instructions in the very first post using the one for non paid subscribers (that’s you).

Also, in that same exact thread post, you can practice posting pictures in it, that’s what it is there for and you can practice away as much as you want, nobody will care how many errors a person may make trying to get it right.

If you have a question about posting pictures while trying, just ask there too, many members keep an eye out and will be glad to answer any questions you may have.

Once you got it down pat, post your picture up here in your thread.

Good luck and again welcome to BladeForums.

Direct instructions for posting pictures and practice:

I have a Turner and co pocket knife and I was wondering if anyone could help me date it.

M Memoboy , best bet is to post a pic and some details of it in the Bernard Levine section. The folks there tend to know these things. Only paid members can upload pics in a post, but registered members like yourself can upload a pic to a third party hosting site, and then link to it in your thread. Good luck and welcome to Bladeforums!
