I know it's way off the mark but it is worth a shot. Does anyone out there have a thompson drum magazine that 50 or a 100 round that they want ot sell? I just bought a khar 1927A1 and would like to get a drum or two.

Since Khar Arms bought Auto-Ordnance I have no idea what their stock is but AO used to offer a 50rd drum. The 100rd drum is a very rare item apparently and the last one I heard of sold privately in the UK for $1100!

Is the 1927A1 true to original specs or does it have that elongated barrel? I couldn't find it listed anywhere for sale. Can you provide a source?

I've had a few original Thompsons (way back) and they were great fun to shoot. Went thru lots and lots of .45 cal ball ammo especially when using the 50rd drum.

Yes it has the longer barrel. I bought mine at Vance's gun store in Columbus , Ohio. I got the 1927A1 with the finned barrel. They had one other gun that was in the military configuration. Type in Khar arms on your computer and it will bring you to a site for sales in your area.

Khar arms sells the 50 round drums for 275.00 but they only sell to law inforcement or export. Numrich arms has them too but it is the same deal.

Numrich Arms, Hurley, N.Y. has "drums" for sale. Sorry, I don't have a current price.
