thong tubes

I dunno about the 'inside' but this does a pretty good job on the outside...

;) ;) ;)

Sorry, in a weird mood lol.

I take the tip of a tapered felt bob and some polishing compound that came with it on my Dremel and hit just the inside of each opening, since you can't really see into the thong tube, I don't go any further.

BTW, you mention semi chrome polish. We had a guy come by the shop the other night trying to sell us metal polish called Col. Brassy. I was HIGHLY skeptical at first, until he polished a 3" section of our galvanized roll up door rails to damn near a mirror finish with nothing but his hand, a shop rag and this stuff. It's pretty awesome.

Jason, thanks that sounds like it would work well. I was thinking about something similar with either pipe cleaners or a small caliber bore brush.

Grizzly, your killing me with the toilet paper picture.

Seriously, you're really killing me.

You can get felt bobs for the Dremmel that would work well, satin finish use scotch bright .

One of the best ways to limit the amount of clean-up needed is to limit the amount of mess-up made.

Pack the tube solid full of toilet paper before inserting it. That way the glue, dirt, polish ,etc. doesn't get in the tube. Once the handle is shaped and sanded, push out the paper with a wooden chopstick. Use a chamfer bit/burr to bevel the inner edge, then polish with Flitz or Simichrome. A piece of Q-tip in a Dremel works very good.

Ha! Guess maybe I'm just lazy. All I do is make sure NOT to let epoxy get inside the tube when glueing up. After the epoxy cures, I countersink the tube a bit and maybe shoeshine a piece of paracord through the tube a few times. Seems to work fine.

I like to polish the inside of the thong tube.

Before i install the tube I will drill through it with a #14 drill then a #13 then run a 3/16" reamer through.(this is for a 1/4" tube)

After the tube is installed use a 1/8" brass rod with a 1" slot cut down its length. Wrap 240 grit paper around the brass rod and install it in a cordless drill. Try to wrap enough paper around the rod for a tight fit in the tube. Start up your drill and insert the rod and paper assembly into the tube use use a in and out motion to clean up any rough areas in there. Then step through 400 and 600 grit paper. The last step is to use 600 grit with green chrome compound for the final polish.

I hope that made sense.

Here's a photo from an old WIP

You can see a little of the inside of the polished tube in this photo.
