Its my birthday today and I got some Amazon money and was trying to fill some holes in my overall kit. After much deliberation and review watching/ reading, I ordered a SOG Fusion Tactical Tomahawk. Then I had the thought: A KA-BAR/ Becker Tactical Tomahawk designed by Ethan would be a sure seller, and a welcome and natural addition to both brands. What do you think? The BK-TT in 1095cv? Awesomesauce?

Better yet.... Two models. One with a tactical backside, one with a frontier/ hammer side.

I would love to replace my little eastwing with a Becker!

I brought this up in the Merch Death Chat...nobody appeared interested LOL

I sure as hell would buy a Becker 'Hawk!!!

Ethan has said that he has a few ideas along those lines. But really, that's why he designed the Machax, to be kind of a cross between axe and machete.

Personally, I'd by a couple of Becker tommyhawks, especially with the hammer polls.

They are overlooking a solid market. Last night before clicking "buy now" I watched TONS of youtube videos and read tons of Amazon reviews. There is a market...tomahawk fans and Becker fans...also lots of active duty using these things now...it would be a no brainer.

I GUARENTEE YOU even if they aren't talking about it now, if Ethan posted a thread saying "suprise! Here comes the BK-TT" people would be clamoring for it just like the Machax and the Tweeners. It would also decimate SOG and Cold Steels offerings.

True, but Hawks and Axes are still very different in use and ability. And even though most Beckers will do the job, lets not miss the forest for the trees. Its not what they can do, its what they ARE. There thousands of 'hawk users out there that aren't going to give up their hawk for a Machax. But if the maker of the Machax turned out a hawk.....ooooo buddy!

I still like the 2 models idea too.

Speaking of Kabar....It makes one wonder why this niche hasn't been addressed in the ZK line. Its almost a no-brainer....or a no "working" brainer.

oh yeah, lol was so busy with dreams of hawks I forgot...Happy Birthday Bro!

...its also my youngest niece's birthday today.

We need The Warrior to get busy designing and turn it in to Ethan for tweaks and final approval.

Happy Birthday! A Becker hawk would be a good thing, considering how many CS axe sheaths I make there is def a market for it. Hard to beat that trail hawk but I will take an american made one over it anyday.

There's a thread out there already on this topic if you're interested. Can't remember how much depth there was.

The funny thing is, there's a world of niches that are filled by edged tools... why hasn't Becker designed for them all? If you look at what is basically a pretty small line, and you look at how long this line has been around, and then factor in the fact that some of the big Becker units were design collaborations... its interesting that there aren't more of them. Not saying I have any answers, although I suspect that economics and the practical challenges associated with large scale manufacturing might have a lot to do with it. Maybe its just that Ethan is satisfied with the Machax and doesn't use hawks? Dunno.

happy birthday but you can't have my tweener :)

I've got a SOG Fasthawk, nice little hawk for what it is,but it wouldn't compare to a Ethan Becker designed tactical hawk.I'd put my money down for one in a hurry. In fact if a hawk and the tweeners were "theoretically" hitting the street at the same time,I'd get a hawk first. But since the tweeners are coming,I'll add those to the collection first.Maybe we can get Warrior to whip up something and see how it would look?
