Thought I found a 777 today.

I was in a pawn shop and saw something in a display case that looked familiar...carbon fiber handle, big shiny pivot, stonewashed and Damascus blade it was the all holy ZT 0777! Or so I thought after having it pulled out I noticed it had no zt markings on it. Guy at the shop said a guy pawned it and said it was a Chinese replica. If not for the lack of markings it would have been perfect. Honestly felt very very similar to my other ZT's in terms of quality. Maybe 95% of the 560 quality. A guy bought it before I left the store. I was so bummed it was a replica I wanted to cry. Lol

If I had thought about I would have bought it and made a hard use video and beat the tar out of it. Probably would have made a lot of people want to kill me before they realized it was a replica.

Yes it did...not sure what steel it was or if the Damascus was a laser treatment or what but it was identical in look minus the logos.

It was truly a dead ringer. Granted I've only seen the real deal in pictures but I can't imagine a replica being much more accurate.

Forgot to mention that the one I handled had some type of bearing system for the pivot. Close to as smooth as my 560 and 561.

Why would there be a problem posting the pictures here? Seeing what these fakes look like would benefit all of us. I wouldn't be surprised if the guys at Kershaw wanted to take a look themselves.
