  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Thought I found a 777 today.

I was in a pawn shop and saw something in a display case that looked familiar...carbon fiber handle, big shiny pivot, stonewashed and Damascus blade it was the all holy ZT 0777! Or so I thought after having it pulled out I noticed it had no zt markings on it. Guy at the shop said a guy pawned it and said it was a Chinese replica. If not for the lack of markings it would have been perfect. Honestly felt very very similar to my other ZT's in terms of quality. Maybe 95% of the 560 quality. A guy bought it before I left the store. I was so bummed it was a replica I wanted to cry. Lol

Or maybe I will win the powerball and persuade someone out of theirs. I couldn't believe how great the replica was so the real thing must be unbelievable.

People always talk about how close they are to the real thing, yet I have never seen one with a composite Damascus blade.

Did the one that you saw have a composite blade???

Yes it did...not sure what steel it was or if the Damascus was a laser treatment or what but it was identical in look minus the logos.

Interesting. I have seen a bunch and never seen one with a composite blade, let alone Damascus.

Why would there be a problem posting the pictures here? Seeing what these fakes look like would benefit all of us. I wouldn't be surprised if the guys at Kershaw wanted to take a look themselves.

Please do not post pics of the fake junk, you may not think it does any harm but it is effectively promoting / advertising the crap.
