When I got home from work I noticed my 110 was missing from its sheath. I thought I had left it behind a boiler I was working on. I had to cut a piece of rubber to clamp over a pin hole in a pipe.

This is a special 110 to me. It was my dad’s, its gone to work with me everyday for almost 40 years. I used it until I realized the lock no longer worked. I joined here to warn others that 110 locks could fail and to check and never trust them completely. (This is the thread)

So this knife is special because it brought me here, and I’ve learned a lot and have made a lot of friends.

Anyway for some reason I put it in my tool bag instead of its sheath on my belt.

After this little scare, even when I thought it might be gone forever. I had no regrets using it, and I’ll continue to use it everyday. I wont baby it, but I know its limits too. If it gets lost or mangled in the process so be it. I refuse to exile such a good friend in a drawer.

This is the last picture I took of it. This morning for the “game to play” thread.

And one i took earlier this week for the knives and critters thread

Anyway thanks for listening to my ramblings, thanks for putting up with me and thanks for being my friends. I wish we could all get together for a coffee sometime.

Those are the pucker moments that make life exciting! Glad you got the knife back in the sheath 👍🏻

Why not send it to Buck for warranty work on the lock? You can specify the work you want done, and what you want them to leave alone...
