Thought the AlaskaGanzaa was SUPPOSED to be last night, Sept. 6th...? What'up?

I am VERY confused....:confused:

I spent last Thursday night waiting hours to post a purchase at the moment the Ganzaa began...only wanted one knife...sigh...

Then 20 minutes before 9pm, Jerry posted a delay in the Ganzaa stating it would be the night of September 6th...???? That was LAST night -

I just got back from a trip to see a new grand daughter...and found the ganzaa was Monday night, the 5th???? :eek:

I'm losing my mind....did I miss something?

WARNING!!! The INFI HOGs are a treacherous group and are not to be trusted!!! They will post under names that look similar to mine (Be sure that it says "Moderator" under my name if it is on Bladeforums) and will bring up MANY false “GO” threads from the past in order to get others to order BEFORE the actual AlaskaGanzaaaaa GO THREAD!!!! DO NOT fall for this as so many have in the past and be left out in the cold.
 
You fell prey to the classic blunder......The first is this: Never get involved in a land war in Asia. Secondly, and only slightly less well known is this "Never, Ever believe a fake Jerry when INFI is on the line!" Look at the post count, and whether the name has Moderator under it!!!!!!!

Once, even Jerry had a fake Jerry account, and he got trampled too.!!!!!! It said Moderator, but the servers were locked up!


That is a major Bummer. Post a WTB and tell you got faked out! Some hog may have pity on you and help you out!


I believe that fake Jerry Busse (in blue, not a moderator and with a very low post count) was pointed out as a fake in the very same thread!

That was all I needed after waitn' 10 days for my 2nd grand baby to be born, and havin' to return home
without see'in him (or her)...labor started this morning....HOPEFULLY the delivery will go better than my
Ganzaa net trip...sigh...

Maybe I'll get lucky and score that one measly blade I was a'huntin down ...c'mon AMY!
 
Yeah, it is kind of a bummer to get duped by your hog brothers, but i guess its just part of the game.
 
Sorry about the bad news! As others have mentioned, make sure it’s the real Jerry by looking at his post-count and make sure ‘moderator’ is under his name. TrailWolf almost got me. And if that ‘fake’ Jerry would have waited until 9:30ish to post, he may very well have got me!


However…




My email was not sent to Amy & Jerry on the first try - which was, at the MOST, 10 seconds after the “Go…….Go……..Go…….” post by the REAL Jerry! Luckily, I caught it pretty quick (about 1-2 minutes), got my wife (which took a couple minutes) so she could verify that my email didn't send; so I sent it again @ 9:52 (4 minutes can be a loooooooong time in a Ganza) and, I’m very glad to say, I got an email from the Wonderful Amy-O telling me I won my 1st choice – WoooHooo!:D:):D Even better, the next day I got another email from Amy telling me my knife has shipped :eek: and gave me my tracking #; it should be here tomorrow (I’ll post pix)! I thought I was up $*** creek without a paddle but I made out just as I hoped – this time!
 
i dont know about you guys but im sick of the fake jerry s***. a lot of us dont have time to be playing games like that, double checking names and dates. the last 3 or 4 ganzaas all i got was just a headache and zero knives. ended up picking up a bunch on the second hand market at stupid markups to subside my knife addiction.

You don't have the time to sit by the computer for a few hours and constantly hit refresh ?

I don't either,and quite frankly it turned me off from the whole Busse buying experience/game playing/not knowing the specs/guessing.

But,we are outnumbered by the people that love the games and have the time to sit in front of a computer for a few hours.

I like to drink heavily on the day of the Ganza - JW Green - to celebrate.

But I don't know what day that will be with all these fake Jerrys and their chicanery, so I solved the problem by drinking daily.

Speaking of which, it's time for another:) It tastes so good when it hits the lips!

C'mon, no need for over-exaggeration. Ganzas are 1 HOUR or less.

It's been stated before, but...Jerry's house, Jerry's rules, and Ganzas (and the subsequent HOG trickery & shenanigans) have been a tradition around here since long before even my time. Frankly, I am one of the ones who enjoys Ganzas, and the shenanigans that go along with them. As for checking dates and such... If Jerry Busse's name ain't in RED, then just completely disregard that thread/post. Same goes for Amy-0. It's that simple.
 
man, i love 'em!! prolly 'cause i'm 2 for 2!! if you're lookin' for luck, i'd say you lucked out w/your grand daughter; congrats!! there will ALWAYS be other ganzaaaaaaaas! ...plus the exchange. peace.
