So I had some time the other day and stopes by to see my wood guy. After picking out some figured walnut, birds eye maple, curly maple, and some curly ash Daniel says to me " Scott come in the back I have something to show you".
And there it was!
702 pounds of maple Burl!
This was one of the 5 he had in the back.
I said I would love to buy some but that was to rich for my blood. All the stuff I had already picked out was from his scrap piles.
He said " I'm gonna make you a deal you can't refuse "
And he was right!
Here is a few slabs of the 15 pounds I got.
Now I just need to wait a year or so before I can use it.
