Does anyone here own any of these knives? What do you think about them?

I know they're made from files. That's about it.I ran across them doing a search for low cost fixed blades. They aren't the most attractive knives(some might say they're downright ugly:D),but they appear to be well made.Plus they've been around since 1980,so they must be doing something right...right?
I've never read about them here on BF.

How would you compare this file steel to popular ones like 1095 or 5160,as far as edge retention, corrosion resistance & toughness goes?

Here's a 10-1 M.Their basic camp knife.

Thanks :)

I love mine. It really takes a great edge. It's not a real heave duty knife obviously, but it makes a great slicer, and is worth the asking price IMO. I'd like to get a few more.

It smells like a file, no mistaking. Joe

I had a little one and pics do not do them justice. Mine also came with a stag handle. They also are razor sharp.

Great knives, especially for the money. Very well made; and they take and hold a very sharp edge.
I have about a dozen of them in various shapes, sizes, and handle materials.

There are a at least a couple of sellers on eBay who are very reliable with excellent prices.
