It's a big strong knife. A little on the heavy side, but still a nice design.
I have the uncoated regular non serrated blade. The Persian style blade is nice for just about all chores.
If you search the web you can find them for around $160 and it's worth it IMO.
It's one of the few knives I own that I bought a 2nd.
I like it, but just a warning unless you have bigger hands the handle is going to be big for you, its very large. Other than that, its a great buy. as stated, you can get it for about $160 shipped, maybe a little high but i think worth it
If you buy from a store that doesn't charge MAPP then you can find it for ~$140 for the satin version. I don't have experience with it but that doesn't seem like a bad price for a big, sturdy, AXIS lock knife if you like the design. I think it's probably more of a self defense knife than a utility knife.
I love everything about these knives but the one thing that has kept me from getting one is the pocket clip and how much handle pops up out of the pocket. Lately I've been really assessing whether or not I'll carry a knife and If I don't think I'll carry it, I won't buy it.
I have one and like it. As others have mentioned, it's heavy, but it's also very sturdy and comfortable in the hand. The blade shape is good, but the stock and grind are relatively thin given its length (especially toward the tip). That's not necessarily a negative, just something to keep in mind if you're expecting it to be a folding prybar or something.
