I'm not an outdoorsman. Sorry, that's just not what I do. I've been thinking that I may have have misjudged the ehandles for this reason. When I hold a knife, I usually judge how it feels to me on intial feel. How comfy is it in my hand?, how secure is the grip? But I have lately come to the realization that while this may be a good way to judge a fighting knife (yes, I have a little martial arts experience) it may not be a good way to judge a working knife. I imagine that a less ergonomic, wider handled knife may be better for long cutting or chopping chores because there's less angles to rub your hand raw and more surface around to spread out the shock of the blow. So, having said that I believe that I may have misjudged how a large hard-working should feel. Perhaps the grips isn't or shouldn't be as secure. Are the two ideas mutually exclusive? possibly. With the fusion series, we may have the best of both world, because there are two grips. Thick handles such as the ehandles, and Beckers as well as others have confused me because in the past I've asked myself, "self, how can anyone like these handles?"
