This has been a rough couple of weeks for our family. And any good thoughts or prayers would be appreaciated.
First off, week before last one of the trainees in my company died. It caught all of us off guard. He was an 18 year old youing man whose sole wish in life was to be an Infantryman. He was in the midst of becoming one whan he died suddenly and unexpectedly, we still really don't know what happened. Apparently some underlying medical condition, was involved. I read the 91st psalm at his memorial service.
Next, we had to put our beloved Sadie dog to sleep. This was not easy for us as you all are aware from my earlier posting.
Today we come home from shopping to find out that my wife's stepfather who raised her from the age of nine was found dead in his apartment in Dallas this morning. We are in shock right now.
I will probably be out of the net for a week or so. I will mostly lurk a bit and check mail but we have a lot to do now, so I will talk to everyone later.
We don't want to burden anyone or rain on anyone's parade but any and all prayers and good thoughts would be appreciated. We have long felt that part of this particular corner of cyberspace was about helping one another as it was about knives.
