First post on BladeForums!

So this morning in the mail I received my Kershaw Knockout with the Olive Drab anodized aluminum handles and the DLC coated Sandvik 14C28N blade (came very sharp).
Fresh out of the box I flipped it open with the flipper and was immediately surprised at how well executed the ergonomics were regarding the flipper and the spring assist mechanism.
I sold my ZT 0200 to get this knife because I wasn't thrilled with carrying 8oz of steel in my pocket, especially 8oz of steel with a liner lock!

So I posted all the photos to imgur because I can't figure out how to get them on here.

One thing I really like about the knockout is how wide the blade and handle are, it is a very thin but very wide knife. This makes for great ergonomics and it seems to fill my large sized hands despite being thin. The handle on the 710 is a bit small for my large hands, it's like grabbing a crayola marker rather than grabbing a yard stick.

The OD/DLC colors are awesome! Pictures did not do justice to the colors (sorry about my bad lighting as well).

As far as EDC, I've found the 710 to be a little too long, 4" of blade is great for some things but can be cumbersome in my experience, I like the shorter wider blade on the Knockout quite a lot actually.

The deep carry clip and the thin design makes the Knockout disappear completely in the pocket, the 710 is a bit more noticeable in the pocket.

Another notable figure is the weight. For a solid metal knife the Kershaw is light! The Knockout is 3.4oz and the 710 is 4.5oz. A full ounce different in weight.

I've only carried the Kershaw for 1 day and I've carried the Benchmade for 1 year so I can't say too much about the durability, but they both seem very well made and strong.

The Knockout has aluminum handles and something about an all metal knife like this just feels really solid, couldn't be happier with my 710 or my Knockout.

If I had to recommend one of these for EDC, I'd probably recommend the Knockout because of price/value mainly and also it seems to be the perfect size.

Let me know what you guys think :)
