For those of you that sometimes comment on my posts about how lush and green it is here, well there is a price to pay and we are paying it now, I can't remember when it last stopped raining !!!!!

I took the pooches for a wet walk today, the walk began at the side of a lake....

At least there was some tinder to be found.....

Coats were the order of the day......

As we left the lake and got onto the trail I decided to fish out my hat.Although my jacket has a hood I sometimes find them restricting and prefer a waterproof hat. As you can see this one is by a British company called Paramo, their gear is awesome and makes wearing Goretex feel like you are wearing a garbage bag. You can fill their garments with pins, take them back out and it will still be waterproof ( not that you would want to do that !)...

Holy cows was the rain coming down hard...

The weather made it look like it was night time in the forest, it was still morning !!!

The dogs were glad of their coats !

I finally reached the top, at least the views would make it all worth it !

Oh yeah I can see for feet and feet from up here...

My thoughts had now turned to a mug of hot chocolate by the fire so I decided to head off back !

Oh yeah good job I didn't have to maim any unleashed dogs today, this was the only knife I took !

Now for that hot chocolate !

hah good times, I know what you mean, we're just starting to see the light after about 2 weeks down poor. miserable weather!

is that a Tops? neat little blade!

we're getting hammered with rain here too.... the seymour river (and others) have risen about 6 feet from normal. They have off duty firefighters patrolling the river edges keeping people away.

Pitdog, how do ypu like the wolf pup? Ive been looking at one myself.

If I'm totally honest buddy the best I can say is it's ok !
Any of the small knives from ML Knives or Dave Farmer knives etc will easily out cut it !

Are you sure the dogs were glad of their coats? Maisy's body language may say something else, like "stupid human, taking us in this....."

convex the edge Pitdog!

I may head out tommorow for a hike. need to clear the cobwebs out.

They both needed their asses kicking outta the door today but once out they love it, rain snow whatever !;)

Great pics as usual, Pitdog.

If you're tired of it, could you send some of that rain down here? I can't remember the last time we had a decent rain, and sometimes it feels like we may not see any again in my lifetime. Our annual rainfall is normally only around 9 inches, but I think we're only at around half of that. So, if you're finished watering your lush, green plants, could you send it on down?

Yeah I have convexed the secondary bevel which did improve it but compare it to my little ML knife and it sucks !:thumbdn:

To be fair though it does make a handy blade to drop in your pocket for urban carry and will still cut most things that need cutting !

I hate the rain. Snow I am fine with, but rain just glooms my day.

Great pics as usual, Pit.

Great Pictures.

And here I told somebody I ran into today, what a great day it was because it's been raining here before sun up in the 40'sF, I like rainy days. Gray and rain are the norm here. :)

ill take some rain!!! we've only had ~2 days of rain in approx 5months....insane.

great pics! what did you use for the fire?

Ah good old rain. It's always nice to get some dirt time in regardless. Plus, taking a shower and having a fire always feels 100% better after a wet day:thumbup:

Whereabouts did you pick up the Paramo gear Pit? I need some decent rain pants, and they've got a couple pieces that I really like. Any websites I've found are based in the UK.

It used to give an address on their website for their North American distrubuters, but I bought all mine when I was in England.I'm sure must ship overseas but not sure what the shipping would be !
