Went to a gun show today,in Dallas, probably the best I've been to. Lots of slippies! Now I like to think I know a little about pocket knives most of which I've picked up here(and not as much as most of you here)!!But as i was shopping through every table, and finding some knives I liked, I realized I'm still just a wannabe!!! Trying to remember prices and characteristics and desirabilty and not wanting to get a bad deal was tough(have USA old Timers really gone up that much or just Gunshow prices)! I definitely need to buy a book of knife values!!! I am partial to muskrats and that is what I was looking for, and saw several that I would have liked such as a early 80's Case and a Schrade Walden. I finally found one that I liked and thanks to my lifeline(dad at home on the net) I picked up a Case amber bone damascus muskrat at an alright deal. I dang sure admire you experts out there!!! Thanks for spreading your knowledge!!

To the ? of OLd Timer Gone up YES anything w/ the (USA versions) of Schrade, Uncle Henry, Old Timer, Schrade Walden, etc. etc. have went UP UP Almost crazy up!!! IMO

Spend 20 minutes or a half hour looking through the vintage knife listings on ebay a couple days week.It'll give you a better understanding of knife values than most books.Books are where most of the dealers at shows set their prices from,JMO.
