I am looking at a CRK knife that was bought by a CRK dealer from CRK at SHOT 2014 and reworked by CRK before delivery. Considered NIB? Other thoughts. I don't want to mention the knife or dealer....

Thanks.

I would say yes, as long as the modification or "rework" was done by CRK and the knife is unused since, then it would still be considered NIB.

If the work was done by Chris himself(or anyone that works for CRK) then yes it is still new.

Thanks! That is what I was thinking too. (I just need to verify that how I understand it is accurate.)

Just wanted to help understanding on this question. We are not permitted to physically sell knives at the SHOT Show. Dealers will often select some knives - usually it is the Unique Graphics. After the show, we bring everything back to the shop, the knives are cleaned and inspected so they are 100% when they are sent on to the dealer. Occasionally, there might be a slight scratch or ding because the knives are on display in the showcase, and they do get handled. They do not get used. Any blemish would obviously be corrected prior to he knife being sent out. There is no question that such a knife is NIB.

Thanks for the clarification Anne, that makes me feel better! (I also appreciate the dealer giving me the expanded background.) Now I am down to deciding between that knife and one other CRK...
