thoughts on a knife

this is a clone of a busse mean street. go to the busse forum and do a search for the destruction video. you get what you pay for.

It's only worth $16 !! That 440 means in this case 440A a poor steel.

i know i know its a mtech knife but check it out, 440 stainless, full tang, and micarta handles and kydex sheath, all for $16 doesnt seem like a bad deal. you know its made in the usa and its not just "stainless china". im not saying make it your primary knife but looks like a pretty good cheap back up knife. thoughts, comments?

To be perfectly honest I wouldn't own a Mtech. The rip off designs from good makers and sell them with poor steel, awful fit and finish, and aren't worth the packaging they send them in. JMHO of course.

If your looking for a cheap back up knife, get yourself a Mora. Great knife for the $$$

yeah i already have 3 moras and love them. like i was saying it would just be a beater knife not one i would use mainly

You can't compare the Mtech with that Boker.

The Boker has stag handles, of course it's going to cost more.

PS - Don't waste your money. Moras are cheaper and can fill that beater niche.

I though MTech's were made in china. I know that they're folders and butterfly's suck, so no thanks.

the knife is a worthless piece of crap. It is also a knock off of a good knife. It is not made in the USA. They just have offices here, and mark their crap MTech USA to fool the gullible.

you know its made in the usa and its not just "stainless china".
"Mtech USA" is the company name. The knives are made in China.

A rip-off of another companys design....strike one.

A low grade steel/poor heat treat, if at all.........strike two.

Fake micarta handles, poorly fitted kydex sheath......strike three.

If it doesn't drop out of the crappy sheath before you get to use it, the first time you do use it, it'll either bend or break with even moderate pressure.

Plus you'll be supporting the growth of a communist state by buying it.

Old hickory or mora for less than 16 dollars, both are a real knife unlike that knifelike object in the link. Chris
