Been hunting an AD20 for well over a year now, had the chance at one of the slims in D2 but balked at nearly $400 for that steel (also saw some regular thickness AD20 in D2 pop up yesterday for $395 but sell quickly). Curious what are your thoughts of this knife? Will AD20 ever be more readily available in a higher end steel? Nothing against D2, and I'm sure it's heat treated perfectly and performs well coming out of the Demko shop, but a little disappointed this has been their latest steel choice. Obviously they're still in plenty of demand as they still sell out in seconds.

My thoughts on it aren't especially rational, but my lizard-brain reaction to D2 AD20s at sticker price (never mind inflated secondary market price!) is no thank you.
I've owned D2 Medfords in the past, some of which cost more than a D2 AD20. They were great, and I'm sure a D2 AD20 would be great. But I don't get excited about D2 at this price point anymore.
