Anybody have this blade? How do you like it? How does the coating hold up? How is this knife in general? Is it worth $60?

It's a great knife, I don't know where you would find one for $60 new though. I paid $100 for mine.

I have the 140 HS, the one in M2 steel and it is a serious knife. Light but strong an the edge (30° included +/- 2°).

Opinions about the sheath may vary but the knife is a great cutting design.

The coating has held up well. Looking on my 806D2, cardboard cutting was the worst. Everything else doen´t have that effect.

I have the 140HS also.. It's a nice knife. Certainly worth $60.. It would be even nicer if the profile of the handles matched the profile of the tang.

i have got the 154CM one, i like it (even if i don't really use it that much, only for cooking !)
But it's true that the sheath could be better

I payed mine.... nearly 300 usd
With french tax, shipment and dealer percentage....
Now i use internet to buy my sweeties!

well, unfortunately I was outbidded LOL. I was so pissed. I stayed up until 2 a.m. last night just to check how I was doing and to make sure I got it and then 1 minute till closing someone popped in and put in a higher maximum bid than me. By the time I tried bidding again it was closed. OH well I am sure there wil lbe others. Thanks for the input guys.

Theres specific software out there for that type of bidding. The next time you see such a low price, if it has BUY IT NOW, then you should buy it now!

I got a Nimravus for use as a utility knife. That was a mistake.
The model with the deep finger choil gives a secure grip for thrusting or stabbing in reverse grip. But when carving, with the choil there the handle is to skinny for my index finger to grip. I end up holding it with my finger behind the choil, effectively making the handle an inch shorter. When using it in a pull cut, the choil gets in the way and the thumb grip digs into my hand. The blade coating scratched alot on cardboard. I took it off with sandpaper (240 grit). Overall, if you want utility. Get the model without the choil. Otherwise just don't do pull cuts or de-limb trees, and it should be fine. For $60.00 I'd definitely get an HS version.
