Thoughts on Cromax?

Does anyone here have info/experience on how the cromax from shirogorov performs? I remember seeing it a couple of years ago on the shirogorov quantum ursus and decided to wait on it since there was little to no info about it.

Fast forward to now, eyeing between a quantum ursus nl and a f95nl, for anyone that has the same or has done the tests, which steel is it most comparable or similar to? Hopefully nowhere near the ballpark of M390, I have PTSD because I had to get work done on a blade, and I gave up on it because I never managed to get anything done with the stones/sandpaper and power tools I had.

It will have lower wear resistance than M390 and even Elmax.

The chemistry is similar to a PM 440C


I wouldn't consider M390 a bear to sharpen.

Sharpening technique is very important for being able to get a sharp knife regardless of the steel. I would suggest reviewing sharpening techniques and stones.
