Thoughts on CS Shanghai Shadow?

I'm a fan of cold steel, despite the advertising. Its fun to watch :)
1055 isnt a bad steel, and cold steel makes quality knives. If you like the design then go for it i say.
Personally i'm not really a fan of double edged blades for utility, nor cord wraped handles. But if you like it go for it, and at that price you cant really complain.

just got one yesterday on ebay for $25 . it looks like a mini smatchet. compare it to the boker mini smatchet. i also picked up a S&W (i know, but it's a nice knife, 440c steel) wide blade boot knife from discount knives for $31(punch in smatchet on their search). it's identical to the boker. the shanghai shadow is a bargain.

I just got my GI Tanto in today and it is made out of the same steel and has the same handle material and although I am not a huge fan of paracord handles it is only a $20 knife and it does not bother me on a cheap knife. The blade seems sharp. I would say go for it. I plan on getting one of the Shanghai shadows and if the knife turns out to work well I will order one more of the Tanto and Shadow. So far I am impressed for $20 but the Bushman I got for my son is probably a better knife and another one of those will be coming to my house for sure.
