If you know the knife im talking about, why didnt it make it bigger. I think its a very cool design which is very different but you just never hear much about it. Anyone else like it?

I recently got a chance to play with a Kershaw production version for a few days. One night I passed it around the room to a few of my friends and to my daughter ( who is mostly into OTF autos ).

Everyone thought it was a cool knife and was able to master it after a few tries. I like gadgets and intricate machines, so for me it was a winner.

The quality of the Kershaw version is excellent and if I had to sum up the knife I would say it's a cool design , but probably not that practical. But anyone who is into knives would probably like it.

I like it.

My climbing partner keeps one clipped to his harness. It's been through a lot of crap (ice, dirt, grating rock), and still works like new. It looks like hell, but the action is smooth and it cuts old anchor webbing like it's nothing. I've even used it to chip out ice.

I think it's a more practical design than it gets credit for. Good blade shape, lock, and easily opened even with gloves, the carabiner clip is nice too.

it is very practical. Super quick open/close, great hollow (crazy sharp) ground, bottle opener. It's a great knife. Don't get caught up in the "gimmick" responses you're likely to get.

Man, that looks complicated. I mean, it looks simple to deploy and close, but so many moving parts. Personally, I wouldn't want anything moving besides a blade and perhaps a spring or lock. Just doesn't look right.

I know what you mean about the looks, but it does hold up well. I figured with all the rock scraping, sand, and general abuse, it would start sticking. The action is still smooth as new, though. I guess this is due to the fact that it's built well, more than the design.

i like it too! :) i find that it does a great job. very easy to open, very sharp! won't close on your hand, unless you try to get it to close. good knife for the price. of course i'm talking about the kershaw verision. since i don't have the money to afford a G&G Hawk E.T. :D
