Thoughts on Outrider/Availability of Pocket Service Tool

I have an Victorinox Outrider SAK that I always carry on a neck laniard while camping or backpacking. I'm new to the forums and interested in members'opinions of this knife.

I'd also like to know if anyone has one of Normark's neck rigs for the Outrider and, if so, what you think of it.

Finally, I saw the Victorinox Pocket Service Tool (a one-hand-opening Victorinox SAK very much like the Outrider) discussed in a couple threads, but I can not find it anywhere online. Is it still available?

Was that your Outrider I made a rig for a year or so ago ???

I've had lumber for that SAK since I seen yours...
Still haven't got one,, but found a small dealer who sells them, and next time I go back I'll certainly be picking one up..

The Outrider in my opinion,, is one of the Finest SAKs on the market and strangly enough gets some of the least mention or attention...

From my memory the onboard tools are probably about the best mix of tools I've seen,without getting into a Frigging Huge knife...
By Far is better than the RUK as far as usefulness goes,,although the RUK is one of my favorite SAKs....

There are a few people here on BF.com that have this knife,,and there has been a couple threads about it,,but the RUK gets more milage for mention here..(Probably has Alot to do with Ron Hood)
I know I've sold 50-60 neck rigs for the RUK....I'd be happy to make rigs for the Outrider if it ever got popular...

As far as the Vic PST goes.. Thats another blade I thought would be going a little further than it has... Another knife I'll be getting as soon as oppertunity knocks....Looks like a handy dandy little knife.. I think the setback to the PST is the serrated blade.. If it were plain,,it would sell better...

One of the reasons I haven't bought the Realtree camo version.. Don't like the clip point serrated blade...Other than that,,a Great knife,with a nice look....

Nope, it wasn't me. I just discovered the forums and your stuff recently. I visited your website the other day to look at the F1 sheath and then heard you mention the neck rig after doing a search for info on the Outrider. I love my Outrider and will probably get one of your neck rigs for it in the near future. Your bikini rig for the Wave looks awesome, too!

Have you ever made any neck rigs to hold more than one tool? It would be really cool to have one rig that would hold my Outrider, a Waterproof Lighter or Sparky and an ARC AAA LED Light.


Is the Pocket Service Tool still available? I saw a post in one of the threads that said it was temorarily unavailable. The post was a year old, but I also ran a google search and searched the Victorinox website and came up empty. Anyone know where I can buy one?
