Thoughts on Ranger RD-6

Really depends on what you'll use it for. I have the RD-6 "bush" (RBS-6)and I found it to be a bit heavier than I expected. The bush models are also 1095 high carbon and 3/16" as opposed to 5160 spring steel and 1/4" that the RD's are. If it's intended as a rescue tool go for the standard RD if for packing and or bushcraft RBS bush models. Just my opinion.
Just an aside here I also own an RD Falcon wich I really love. It's a handy little prybar of a blade and not that common.

The RD's and the BK-2 are kind of like apples and oranges though as the ergos are better on the beckers and the BK-2 is a saber grind where the RD's are all full flat grinds. They behave very differently for variouse tasks. If you got the BK-2 and the RBS-6 in my mind they might compliment eachother well.
Just sayin'.

If you want an indestructible, reasonably-priced, bombproof knife designed and backed by a real Army Ranger, built to do what Rangers do (which sounds like beating, shooting, or exploding the bejeebus outta stuff in their way), then you want the Ranger.

They are not precious jewels with immaculate fit and finish.
