Well, I truly feel like I belong here now. I broke my first Jag. Or, at least the pins.

Now, as to why I've summond you here. I'd like to re-pin this thing with someting I can tighten or loosen as the case may be. I thought about just using small machine screws but I don't know if a bali would flip right on threads. Actually I think it probably wouldn't.

The only way I can think of is to make my own threaded pins and case-harden them when I'm through. That's a lot of work though.

Does anyone else have an idea? Maybe you know of a set of screws small enough for this. I almost think I should take it to a watch-maker and have him try.

Another option is to buy 1/8" stainless pivot pins from R.B. Johnson. You can adjust the length via the torx screws. He'll also sell you the carbide drill bit and fluting bit so that you can sink the pins after you've knocked the old pins out.

His address is:

R.B. Johnson
P.O. Box 11
Clearwater, MN 55320

He's a great guy. I've bought all kinds of parts from him to upgrade and customize my BM folders. I'd recommend him to any of you looking to get jiggy with your balis.

Professor.
