Thoughts on Reliant?

Unfortunately, I don't have a Reliant yet, but I will be picking up an Endeavor fairly soon. They look like great little knives for those times when you want to carry a bit lighter.

I love the looks of it...the straight American tanto, and the handle looks comfy. For some reason the locking liner seems to be rather thin on that model. I've seen various Youtube videos where people have showed and commented on it. When putting a lil bit of pressure on the spine of the blade, you can see the liner flex. Maybe not a big deal, I think it has turned some people off to it, myself included. Shame, because they just came out with a black model that looks nice. In all honesty, it's probably not a big deal and nothing to worry about. Good new is, most Emersons have a pretty good resale value if you're not satisfied.

Yeah, I've heard about the thin liner lock, but that was the 2011 model I believe. I wonder if anyone knows if the 2012's are thicker?

I have a 2012 Endeavor. It has some flex as well. You feel some flex but the liner stays put. It's been a nice medium-sized knife. The upside is that it didn't really need to break in. The liner had little to no sticking since day one.

I had a Benchmade 970 when they first came out and a first year Emerson 7a, and while I prefer the thumb disk over a stud, I really would like an Emerson with a thumb hole.

Did it???? :)

Yup, it sure did! I am just breaking it in now and I finally know what makes the 7B such an iconic knife. The grip on the handle is superb, both forward and reverse and the overall feel of the knife, is such that you could take it through hell and back. I am looking forward to some slicing with this one. :)

Be sure to let us know your thoughts on the Endeavor. I've been looking at this one for some time now.
