Love the look of their line... Just can't seem to find out how to buy their knives?

Patti said she's check her inventory and get back, but that was 2-weeks ago... Maybe they're helping with the ASH orders? :D

Can anyone help the FNG understand?

Join there forums and ask is a good way to find out when there releases are. They realease one model at a time (usually) and its only available until it runs out. The last thing they offered ran out in 58 minutes I believe. They have different things come up now and then but nothing is "place an order" from them. I have alot of there models and its worth buying them when they become available. You can also check out the Busse forum to find out more answers.

Join the discussion over at the Scrap Yard forums. Dan is good about giving a few days notice on new releases. You can also find SY knives here on the exchange forum.

Great knives, I have the full line and love them. :p

You have to strike quickly when they're available (a la Busse), but they can be had for a mild to moderate markup here on the exchange. Sometimes a better option, if you don't have a lot of time to stand by on the computer and wait for them to go on sale at SYKW. As Vox stated, become a regular on their forums. Dan will give advanced notice to the Junk Yard Dogs over there when a new release is pending.

My 0.02 worth.
Their last offering lasted less than one hour. Probably close to 35 minutes. I had watched for a week then it came during a family meeting. I was off the computer for about 1 1/2 hrs and missed the whole thing. I have given up on the yard. Busse and the swamp will get my future money.

Best way, other than being ready for the quick releases, is the exchange. People are pretty good about not inflating prices on the SY knives as they are a newer line. And they are just bad a$$ blades. ;)

Great Knives , Some times even the BOSS ( Jerry Busse ) has posted Dans new knives on this forum .

I understand nobody asked for my opinion ( :D ) but I'm gonna state it anyways! While I know for a fact Scrapyards are hella tough hard use knives with a great warranty, they really do no have any appeal to me for two reasons, really: 1) They've got nothing on Busses - they're not as tough, as pretty or have the kind of edge retention Busses have thanks to INFI. 2) There are other tough hard use knives available that are in the same price range with Scrapyards, but are much more available and much easier to get customized exactly how you want. With these in mind, why would I want a Scrapyard? I wouldn't. I do recommend them for guys that are a) very patient and b) love the handle style that does not leave metal exposed and c) can't afford something better. ;)

Elen I can see your point, my feeling on the scrappers falls in line with A) I love Resperine for feel and performance B) I dont need to be patient, I buy them when they become available. C) The premesis behind the scrapyard line is that they'll all be offered in pretty much two or three configurations mostly one configuration at a time.

I know where your coming from, I just feel that they are worth buying if you have the cash when they are released.

For the price, (about one-third of a Busse) they are pretty hard to beat. It ain't INFI, but it ain't bad!

Check out NossHog's video on the scrapper 6 at www.knifetests.com. If you are not impressed with the performance of that knife... well... then don't buy one. ;)

But... I did. :D

All around they are great knives, but if you want one now your best bet is going to be the exchange.
