Thoughts on Spyderco Butterfly

My boyfriend is looking to acquire a couple nice butterfly knives. They used to be his thing - he had a lot of Benchmades, back when they were still called Bali-Song - but he's since lost most of them. Right now, he's got his eye on some Spyderco butterflies. I'm wondering how they stack up against the competition as far as blade quality.

As far as blade quality, they're top notch. But for flipping, they're not all that great. I found them uncomfortable. Benchmade still makes fine balis, the 51 is a good one. If budget is a concern the Bradley Kimuras are a great value and are very well made, if a little on the heavy side. I learned on a Kimura V and had no complaints.
