i have a black on black citidel with s30v and when i got it i thought it was the greatest thing ever..but after having it for a while, and not carrying it (because even though i have a license to carry a concealed firearm, i can't carry an auto knife) i feel like i could get rid of it and not be unhappy..i dont know, should i keep it for it's cool factor, or trade it off for some more usable spydercos?

I have one as well and lover the knife overall for looks and materials, but I'm not a big auto fan. I was thinking of taking out the spring and making it a manual, but haven't looked into it or taken it apart to see if it would work or not, or function well. Not sure how that button lock would work w/o tension on it.

I've never been one to like autos. With assist mechanisms the way they are now, they're just as fast and easy to use imo. Keep it if you want and have places to carry it (work or somewhere else nobody will hassel you) I don't take the chance of carrying one because of legal issues. I have 1 otf benchmade, and it NEVER leaves my house.

I carried an Embassy a lot of the time on my last deployment. Good knife. Wasn't my favorite deployment knife- that was a Manix 2 XL, so I get what you're saying. I abused the Manix cutting things off eqp in a way I wouldn't the smaller, petite Embassy.
