Just daydreaming on what the ideal walking staff would be with interchangeable Buck spears or gig. Here's what I wish I had:
55" or so natural hard wood walking staff with Brass male threads on both ends. Sort of like a broom stick or paint roller end but beefier. (think screw together pool cue) Then take the three Buck accessories; spear, frog gig and fishing spear and securely attach each to a 4" or so extension of the staff with brass female threads so they can be screwed on to either end of the staff. Also, when not in use a brass end with a small spike for walking on the bottom and a brass end cap for the top (both female threads).
Anyone done this? Pictures? Any ideas on someone who could make one? I'd love to see if anybody here has come up with something.
