I have wondered ever since I joined this forum why this little guy hasn't been shown more love. It's a very solid framelock, good steel, good grip on the handle, and is a tough little knife for not a lot of money. In fact, the only downside I see with the thing is the pocket clip not being adjustable to left hand carry. Thoughts?

i carried one for a while as my work knife. its a very strong, reliable knife, i threw a lot at it and it always held up fine. the knife can be used easily with gloves on as well. i found the blades hape to be pretty useful in general even though some people dont like recurves. i only paid like 25 for the knife, its a great deal. definitely underrated.

My friend, a non knifeknut, owns one. It's his only knife. He claims it's "super sharp." All he uses it for is to prepare meals, cutting veggies and such.

It's a respected knife and great value but I think the threads about higher end stuff , or at least newer designs with new steels etc. tends to draw the most interest.

I own the storm II. (I bought it at closeout prices when it became discontinued). It is an excellent knife for the money, with only two seeming negative aspects. 1. The stair-step thumbstuds tear at my thumb during opening, and also the sides of my pocket on the draw, so I had to remove them. 2. The flipper doesn't stick out far enough to fully open the blade, its only purpose seems to be to overcome the initial detent. It is an excellent knife for the money, no matter how you look at it, and certainly one of the best framelocks in its price-range.. The opening is smooth, and the framelock engagement has a nice feel to it. However if those two (perceived) imperfections had only been adjusted, I would be much quicker to recommend it to people.

Only held one but its got a favored history as an EDC. One of the first cheap but well-made frame lock folders out there and US made (at least the first ones were, not sure of the current ones now?)

The only complaints I heard of it was the apparent rough inserts and the deep recurve on the blade.

Nice knife and a great value framelock, but it looks so "mall ninja" I had to give mine up. Kinda heavy, too.

I have both the Storm and Storm II and have carried a Storm II for several years now.
No complaints here. I love the darn thing. IMHO, it is a highly underrated knife. Very good value for the money.

Yeah, Its definatley a great value. I only paid 19.00 for the Kershaw Storm. I use to have a Storm II but I gave it away to a young man that wanted a Kershaw knife. He carries his every day other than School. He says its his favorite knife.
