I've been a very late adopter of the canister stoves. I've had a hard time finding canisters for fuel when I go to remote areas. As I read the rules, you can't fly with the fuel canisters either, and a lot of the places I go you can't drive to, so I'm stuck.
But some of these little stoves are SO slick that I just can't resist for stateside monkeybusiness. I traded one of my lawnmower blade parangs for an MSR Micro-Rocket (thanks Tradewater.) I really like it but I'm careful about what I pair it with for wilderness applications. I like to have a manual (or analog) method of cooking available. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video.
